It is a very high-tech background company, we have project manager and engineering lead.</p>
<p>My manager XXX is eager to prove to the big boss, but XXX is not tech savvy. Instead, XXX raises the idea, then asks me to design the solution, and put me aside. XXX coordinates with my direct report.</p>
<p>Another thing I notice is, XXX tries to bring one of my direct reports in some technical discussions. It is not necessary because I know the details.</p>
<p>All in all, I interpret this as XXX's effort to reduce the single point of failure. XXX got two big promotions already.</p>
<p>The situation is, XXX needs me in deliverable discussions. The management team knows me along side XXX. With all XXX's efforts to skip me to manage my direct reports, what should I do?</p>
